WELCOME TO FORT WAYNE BOWLING

Fort Wayne USBC BA

The Fort Wayne USBC BA was organized and sanctioned by the ABC in 1907.  The first officers saw an opportunity to begin an organization supporting the game of ten pins which also stressed the values of character, tradition, integrity and heritage.  The association has thrived by the hard work and support of the many volunteers bowlers, and proprietors.

Fort Wayne USBC WBA

The Fort Wayne USBC WBA was organized and sanctioned by WIBC in 1920.  The first officers of the Association believed in the standards that were set forth by  WIBC.  An organization that stood for tradition friendship, fun, competition, leadership and success.  In 2005 the WIBC joined with ABC to form the USBC (United States Bowling Congress) and today women bowlers can still proudly call USBC and Fort Wayne USBC WBA "My Organization".

ATTENTION BOWLERS:

News you can use:

Two more Champs' reign has begun for the coming year. Congratulations to both bowlers, they did a great job and survived the competition.

The Women's Open Champ, Dana Shaddox, won her title on May 3rd at Lakeside Bowl. The Tournament consisted of 1st night qualifications with the top 12 returning the second night to battle each other until the final four were left standing. The T.V. style finish paired Amanda Miller, Tracey Rowlett, Judi Tracey and Dana Shaddox in three great matches. Dana beat Judi Tracey in the final match for the title. Highlights from the tournament included top qualifier Denise Bruce with a total series of 942. Also included were high games of 254, 256 by Denise and Frances "Toni" Sanner 252, Angie Sturm 247, Dana Shaddox 236, and Sara Kinsey 232 (actual). We hope that several more ladies will try this unique tournament next year.

The Masters competition was second this year but still held the crowd's attention with the final matches. This year saw the competition grow to 145 bowlers the first night with the top 32 bowlers returning the second night. The second evening began with 32 bowlers, then there were 16, then there were 8, then 4, Greg Smith, Terry Rohrer, Mike Shockey, and Jeffrey Grego. Finally the last match paired Mike Shockey against Jeffrey Grego. Jeffrey Grego came close to a perfect game but still ended the competition as the Master's Champion. Congratuations to all that participated for taking on the challenge again this year and hope to see you next year.
